New GM named for Six Flags hotel, water park complex

Six Flags Inc. on Monday named a general manager for its new hotel and indoor water park.

Daniel Williams will oversee the operations of the Six Flags Great Escape Lodge & Indoor Waterpark. Previously, Williams managed properties including Sheraton, Doubletree, and Springhill Suites by Marriott during the 11 years he was employed by Pacific Concord Investment Corp. of Eatontown, N.J.

The new hotel will feature a multi-level, 38,000-square-foot indoor waterpark with more than 150 activities including a raft ride, tube water slides, a play lagoon and simulated beach. It will be open year round.

Six Flags (NYSE: PKS) officials estimate that 60 to 70 new full-time workers will be hired to staff the park and hotel.
